Pricing and freight
Why some items say quote only
Castable, monolithics, hard brick and precast shapes move by pallet or flatbed. Freight to a plant with a dock is not the same as freight to a rural site with a forklift and no dock, so a single cart price would be wrong for most orders.
Send the quote form with the delivery address and you get one number that includes getting it there. Everything light enough to ship parcel is priced on this page and goes straight through the cart.

Three things that decide the material

Peak temperature
Not the average, the peak the lining actually sees. A grade rated below it fails early no matter how well it goes in.

What is in the atmosphere
Alkali, sulphur, molten metal contact and reducing conditions all attack differently. The right alumina content depends on it.
03
Mechanical abuse
Charging impact, thermal cycling and cleaning damage decide whether you want dense and abrasion resistant or light and insulating.
Send those three and a photo of the failure. That is usually enough to specify from.
