Terms of sale

These terms govern orders placed with Premier Refractory Supply. Placing an order means you accept them. They sit alongside our shipping policy and our returns and refunds policy, which form part of the same agreement.

Written quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices are quoted in United States dollars and exclude sales tax unless the quotation says otherwise.

An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing. We reserve the right to decline an order, and to correct an obvious pricing or specification error before dispatch.

Raw material, energy and freight costs move. Prices on this site are current at the time of publication and may change without notice; the price on your written quotation or order confirmation is the price that applies to your order.

Sales tax is added where applicable. If you hold a valid exemption certificate, send it to us before you order and we will apply it.

Card payment is taken at the time of order. Approved account customers pay net 30 days from the date of invoice. Overdue balances may carry interest at 1.5 percent per month or the maximum the law allows, whichever is lower.

Risk of loss passes on delivery to the carrier. Title passes when the order is paid for in full.

Published densities, temperature ratings, chemistries and dimensions are the manufacturer’s typical values, not guaranteed minimums, and they are measured under standard test conditions rather than in your furnace.

Selecting a refractory for a given service - peak temperature, atmosphere, slag or metal contact, thermal cycling, abrasion - is the buyer’s responsibility. We are glad to advise, and our advice is offered in good faith, but the final selection and the installation are yours. Send us the equipment, the peak temperature and a photograph and we will tell you what we would use.

Material is warranted to conform to the specification quoted and to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Our liability is limited to replacement of the non-conforming material or refund of its purchase price, at our option. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of production, downtime or the cost of removing and reinstalling material.

Stocked items may be cancelled without charge before dispatch. Made-to-order and cut-to-size material cannot be cancelled once production has started.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
